About Sunlit

Sunlit makes the small things a bathroom and a house are finished with. Shower curtain hooks, decorative and plain, twelve to a set; fabric shower curtains; bath rugs; a gel bath pillow, a full-body bath pillow and a wooden step stool; vintage-style picture frames; sand-proof beach blankets; stool cushions, kitchen mats and ceramic pumpkins and ghosts for a battery tea light. 324 of them, in 134 model families, are available right now, and every one is on Sunlit bath and home.

That is the whole company description you will find on this site. We do not publish a founding year, a city, a factory or a team, because the brand does not, and a story invented for a web page is not one we would want to stand behind. The rest of the story is in the pieces.

How this site is organised

The front page tells the story of the range: what we make, how we look at it, who does the work, and what people who bought one say. Seven shelf pages hold everything by kind: shower curtain hooks (137), shower curtains (38), bath rugs and mats (16), bath pillows and tub stools (10), vintage picture frames (89), beach blankets (15), home essentials and seasonal (19). Every piece has its own page with its photographs, its measurements and the other colourways in its line. The journal carries three long articles, and one short guide matches each kind of thing to the measurement that decides it.

What our pieces are, and are not

A hook holds a curtain and is something to look at. A rug is absorbent and has a non-slip back. A stool is a step. None of that is a claim that a bathroom is safe, that a back will hurt less, or that a curtain is healthier than another: the pack says what a thing is made of, and where a page on this site touches falls in the bathroom, candles, indoor air or the sun, it cites the public body it relies on and prints the date the source was read.

We do not print test certificates, laboratory numbers or patent numbers on this website. The wording on the pack is the claim, and our materials section explains what the words mean.

Where the buying happens

We do not take payment, hold stock or ship parcels on this site. Our buttons hand you to checkout with our retail partner, and delivery and returns are handled there. What we do here is describe what we make as accurately as we can and keep the figures current: see how we update.
